Study In The U.S. (F1 Visa Students)

International F1 Visa Admissions


New, Initial F1 Students (Applying from Outside the U.S.)

Fall semester - Deadline to apply and submit all required documents: May 15
SPRING semester - Deadline to apply and submit all required documents: October 31

Per , a new student may be issued a visa to study inside the United States if their program of study is on campus or a hybrid program with in-person learning requirements.
Acceptance letters and I-20's will be sent after all application materials are reviewed and approved.

Transfer-In F1 Students (Applying from within the U.S. with an active I-20)

Fall semester - Deadline to apply and submit all required documents: June 30
SPRING semester - Deadline to apply and submit all required documents: November 30

Acceptance letters will be sent after all application materials are reviewed and approved. I-20 will be available after an active SEVIS record has been transferred to WLAC from the previous institution. A terminated I-20 will not be accepted.

Change Of Status (Applying for COS to F1 already within the U.S. with another type of visa)

FALL semester - Deadline to apply and submit all required documents: May 15
SPRING semester - Deadline to apply and submit all required documents: October 31

Acceptance letters and change of status I-20's will be sent after all application materials are reviewed and approved.


Continuing F1 Students

Reminder: Submit your SEVIS registration form in person at the international student office (TLC-130 building) within 2 weeks when the fall and spring semester begins. As an active F1 student, you must continue to maintain full-time status and enroll in 12 units (9 units must be on campus or hybrid) in order for your SEVIS record to remain active.
