Programs:
The Child Development Center at 黑料正能量 Los Angeles College offers two childcare programs: Infant/Toddler and Preschool.
Infant-Toddler: 8 months - 2.5 years
Preschool: 2.5 years - 5 years (Must turn 5 after September 2)
Schedule:
Both programs run Monday through Friday, and children are expected to attend every day. We are open from 7:45AM - 4:00PM, but the minimum required hours are 8:30AM - 2:30PM. Drop-off and pick-up times are scheduled before enrollment and arranged based on individual needs.

Tours are held at 10AM each Thursday for the 2025-2026 school year. All tours require an appointment, they must be scheduled at least 24 hours before arriving at the center. Please note the center will be closed for renovations in July in addition to the following Thursdays: Nov 27, Dec 22nd, Jan 1st, and Apr 10. Please follow the link below to reserve a date:

Eligibility and Enrollment Process:

Child鈥檚 parents must live and/or work in the State of California.
- Current copy of gas or electricity bill for the family.

Upon enrollment, verification of birth is required. The following documents are acceptable:
- Birth Certificate;
- Baptismal Certificate;
- Passport.

Upon enrollment, accurate and complete verification of family income is required. Documentation must be submitted within thirty (30) days prior to the first day of enrollment. The following documents are acceptable:
- Current paycheck stubs for one month prior to enrollment date;
- Notice of action;
- If self-employed, a signed letter verifying average monthly pays;
- Income tax return, only if it has been requested.

Upon enrollment, the following forms, are required:
- Application for services
- Emergency and identification information (emergency cards);
- Up-to-date immunization record;
- Current physician report, within one year of enrollment.

Once enrolled, official verification of student-parent鈥檚 college class schedule and unit enrollment. As well as a progress report or grade card towards the end of each semester.

Parents enrolled in full-day state preschool are required to show the 鈥渘eed鈥 for childcare. Working full-time and/or attending school fulltime meets this requirement. Progress reports and/or grade cards and/or employment verification will be required.

Practicum & Observations:
Our center functions as a lab school providing training for students wishing to pursue a career in teaching young children. Observations are available Monday - Thursday from 8:00AM - 12:30PM. Practicum placements require completion of an orientation and are arranged according to both student needs and center availability. If you are interested in completing your practicum hours or observation assignments with us, please email the following items to cdc@wlac.edu:

Proof of MMR immunization

Proof of DTAP/TDAP immunization
- A negative TB test dated within the past year
- A copy of your class syllabus
- An indication of what services you need and a desired appointment time
